  MOSS Designer Developer - East Rand

This client is involved in some exciting project work along the lines of the best in the business. Your role will involve design, dev, analysing future tech trends, planning as well as future input on technical direction.
 
The full responsibilities list:
SharePoint automated installation and configuration and maintenance;
Supporting development team on C#.NET and ASP.NET;
Designing infrastructure as a highly available shared service;
Process design and implementation experience;
Strong Documentation skills and ability to interact with key customers.
Ensuring the fidelity of all portal content, including files and links
Recommending updates and changes to portal format, structure, and content to best support portal users.
Implementing updates and changes to the portal format, structure, and content
Maintaining cognizance of and links to other DIA portals for best utility to portal users
Local & Wide Area SharePoint Support;
Provides 3rd level escalation for SharePoint Services outages and troubleshooting. Performs hardware and software maintenance;
Configures and installs SharePoint related server;
Interfaces with users and developers to troubleshoot SharePoint Services problems;
Produces and interprets SharePoint performance trends;
Performs SharePoint sites capacity planning and alerting;
SharePoint Design and Consults with customers to identify SharePoint requirements;
Prepares and updates SharePoint Services documentation;
Designs and configures SharePoint Services implementation;
Assesses new and relevant SharePoint Services technologies;
Design Reviews and Maintains design requirements documentation;
Participates as a Subject Matter Expert in design reviews;
Makes recommendations for project change as needed to improve functionality, performance, enterprise impacts, and standards compliance;
Communicates plans, status and issues to management on a regular basis;
Reports activities through time tracking system;
Mentors junior members of staff;
Participates in project and activity tracking processes;
Participates in the change control process; 
Continuously updates and improves skills and networking knowledge through training and self-study;
Serves as an escalation point for SharePoint Services issues within IT
Works closely with Business Units implement, coordinate their SharePoint services;
 
Technical Requirements:
Sharepoint - Microsoft Office Sharepoint server (MOSS).
C#.NET and ASP.NET – minimum Visual Studio 2005.
Strong documentation skills.
Analysis and design experience with some business/client facing experience.
Database Design and development experience – SQL Server 2005.
 
Any knowledge of community based build, Silverlight, AJAX advantageous.
 

Permanent, Kempton Park, very negotiable ranging between R35K and R45K ctc per month
