International MS Gold Partner seeks Senior MOSS Specialists to consult on new project work overseas. Your role will include:

Installed and configured Windows Sharepoint Services (WSS) on dev/build and production environments;

Involved in configuration and monitoring of admin settings for portal sites;

Configuration of various services like search, excel and business data catalogues;

Involved in preparing migration plans to upgrade to Sharepoint 2007;

Designed and developed team sites in WSS 3.0 / portal sites in MOSS 2007 to replace the existing ASP.NET 1.1 web pages;

Design and develop custom web parts for site customisation and personalisation;

Implemented asynchronous scripting in web parts to improve performance;

Involved in configuration of search for the portal sites and configuration of SSP;

Develop custom workflow for approval within the system using WWF;

Involved in site administration including creation of sites, giving access permissions for users, configuration of Shared Service Providers (SSP), search and crawl settings;

Perform backup and restore activities for the portal sites using the STSADM utility;

Involved in capacity planning for the host servers and testing of network load balancing and clustering:

Created custom document libraries, content types and web parts for web content management in the portal sites;

Develop custom web application modules with ASP.NET, C#.NET and integrate with the portal sites;

Use Office SDK for customisation and personalisation of sites using Sharepoint object model;

Provide post production support for newly implemented Sharepoint Portal sites.

 

Microsoft Sharepoint Technologies including MOSS 2007, Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 and WSS 3.0/2.0;

Strong hands on experience with .NET platform C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET 2.0, Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio.NET;

Expert in internet application development using ASP, ASP.NET, HTML, DHTML technologies;

Highly experienced in development of server side, client side and middle layer of transactional, multi tier applications (Com+, ASP/ASP.NET, ADO.NET, Web Services);

Strong SQL, Relational Table Design and MS SQL Server including SQL Server 2005.

Client is offering full payment of travel and accommodation with a per diem payment of US$ 100 per day. You would be based in Jeddah which is the second largest city in Saudi after Riyadh. Jeddah boasts a population of 3.4 Million people and is the principle gateway to Mecca. With a thousand years of trading behind it and home to some of the worlds most successful merchants and business people, it is natural that Jeddah is the commercial capital of Saudi. In addition, the city’s geographical location places it at the heart of the region covered by the Middle East and North Africa, with all their capitals within 2 hours flying distance – defining Jeddah as the commercial centre of the Middle East.

Jeddah has received the millions of pilgrims of different ethnicities and backgrounds for over a thousand years, many of whom remained and became residents of the city; therefore it is much more ethnically diverse than most Saudi cities and it’s culture more eclectic in nature. With the oil boom hundreds of thousands of working immigrants and foreign workers have flocked to the city making it very liberal – NB despite it’s liberal attitudes non-Muslims are NOT allowed to celebrate their religions openly.

 

My client is willing to offer initial 3 months contracts to ensure you and they are happy; our expectations are that you could spend 12 months + on project in Saudi.

 

Contract, Jeddah, negotiable between R330 per hour and R380 per hour
